Pizza Friday

GLOBE has a fundraiser on Fridays. We sell pizza and sodas for lunch to raise money for end of the year trip scholarships and other special activities for our students. School lunches are still offered for those who would rather have that. All orders must be in by 8:45am with your homeroom teacher. Choices of pizza are cheese or pepperoni.

School Lunches

Our School lunches are provided by D-11.  We receive a variety of salads and sandwiches, fruit, cold vegetable, bread, cookie, chips and milk. Those students who qualify can receive reduced or free lunches.
Please note that the lunch prices tend to change yearly.

Weather closures and delays

GLOBE will follow District #11 in regards to school closures and delays. If school district #11 is closed or delayed so is GLOBE. District closures or delays will be announced on most television stations (5, 11 and 13) on KRDO News Radio or by logging on to; www.globecharterschool.com.

GLOBE will also follow the district’s early release procedures. Announcement of early release can be obtained by the same above procedures. Please DO NOT send your student to school before you have checked these sources during severe weather days. There will be no one at school on closure days and no one will be at school until the announced delayed start time.

A Global View of the Holidays

GLOBE Charter School helps educate students in understanding and appreciating the many cultures in the world. It is a foundational premise in our charter. The holiday season provides an excellent opportunity for students to participate in a culturally rich and interdisciplinary curriculum while exploring fall and winter celebrations around the world.

Students at GLOBE Charter School will learn about fall and harvest traditions, sing winter holiday songs in languages representing various traditions, and may make ornaments for the GLOBE holiday tree. Throughout the holiday season they will continue to read and write multicultural stories, enact plays, listen to guest speakers and share in the celebration of winter.

It is the goal of GLOBE Charter School to develop the life skills necessary for students to be respectful of individual differences both at school and on a global scale. Our local educational objectives and practices are linked in a relevant way to global objectives and practices so students can "become responsible, competent, aware, innovative and active citizens of the world."

Student Fees

"What is the Student Fee money used for?"

This very good question is often asked by parents, students and staff alike. GLOBE is a non profit educational facility. We receive funding through District #11 at  95% of our pupil count. Funding money is used to help run the school and lease the building that GLOBE occupies, but it does not cover all of GLOBE’s expenses. The $125.00 per student fee helps GLOBE keep its buses safely running for PE and field trips as well as helps with bus insurance. It pays equipment and material costs for PE, Art and Music. With it we purchase first aid supplies, offset printing costs of the newsletter and curriculum handouts plus so much more. The money from the fee is essential to help keep GLOBE running smoothly.

Please pay your student fee as soon as possible. Payment arrangements may be made with our office staff. Non payment of fees may result in held back grade reports and transcripts.
Thank You!

Parking

In order to ensure the safety of our students and respect the private neighboring properties, please obey the following parking procedures.

Park in GLOBE designated spaces only. Do not park in spaces belonging to surrounding buildings.

When dropping of or picking up your student, enter on the East side of the building and exit on the West side of the building.

Do not leave your vehicle in the driveway unattended. If you need to come in, you must park in a designated space or find legal off site parking.

Vehicles that are illegally parked will be towed or ticketed at the owner’s expense. Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated.
